Sawyer Fredericks has been a fan favorite all season long and with the opportunity to sing two songs this evening, it looks like he may make it to the end. Sawyer is singing ‘A Thousand Years’ by Christina Perri and ‘For What It’s Worth by Buffalo Springfield’

Last week Sawyer sang, “Shine On” by Seth and May. We learned that Sawyer’s mom has been with him the entire competition and left their farm behind, as well as, the rest of the family so she can support him. Also the fact that he is only 16 is probably a factor. Being 16 means he needs an adult chaperone with him. The judges loved his performance with Adam saying it was really special and this was one of his favorite performances of the night; Blake said he sang it so well that Blake is almost kicking himself. His coach Pharrell said, incredible power within him.

Song #2: “Take Me To the River” by Al Green. Blake: sings so amazingly well; Pharrell: he worked the stage and the ladies loved it.

This week Sawyer began by singing “For What It’s Worth” by Buffalo Springfield. The judges loved it with Adam saying, he always thinks that he has said all that he can when he performs but he really did this song justice; Blake said that Adam always says what he wants to say to him and Pharrell said, ‘the applause says it all.’

During tonight’s show, the other contestants also sang two songs. Check out their song selections below:

India Carney – Earth Song by Michael Jackson and Gravity by Sara Bareilles
Koryn Hawthorne – Oh Mary Don’t You Weep – Civil War spiritual and One by U2
Joshua Davis – When I Paint My Masterpiece by The Band and I Can’t Make You Love Me by Bonnie Raitt
Meghan Linsey – I’m Not the Only One by Sam Smith and Tennessee Whiskey by George Jones
Sawyer Fredericks – A Thousand Years by Christina Perri and For What It’s Worth by Buffalo Springfield.

What did you think of Sawyer’s performances? Do you think he is taking this to the end??
