American Ninja Warrior heads to Pittsburgh’s historic Carrie Furnace for the next qualifying round. The fifth qualifying round will add two more obstacles to test the contestants. Look for the Snake Crossing and the Wind Chimes to be the newest challenge contestants will have to beat while hoping to make the finals.

The show made stops in Venice, Kansas City,Houston, and Orlando before heading to Pittsburgh looking for warriors who’ve got what it takes to make it to the finals in Las Vegas.

American Ninja Warrior veterans Michelle Warnky and Captain NBC Jamie Rahn will be back. Olympian and Pittsburgh Brianne McLaughlin will give the course a try along with Harlem Globetrotter Flip White. University of Pittsburgh vampire professor Joel Brady and Team USA members Joe Moravsky and Elet Hall will also be giving it a shot.

The competitors will all try to beat each other, and the obstacle course, hoping to be in the finals where they will have the chance to compete for the grand prize, $1,000,000 and be named American Ninja Warrior.

Hosts Matt Iseman and the NFL’s Akbar Gbajabiamila along with co-host Kristine Leahy have been making their way from city to city as over 700 contestants battle it out for the top spot.

While many have come close, no competitor has claimed the cash prize. No contestant has made it past the 3rd of the 4 stages in the final round. Since no contestant has made it, the final stage has not been seen by fans of the show only building the anticipation for someone to finally make it far enough to know what the final stage will have for the warrior wannabes.

Each season sees more hoping to go all the way though with the show adding more difficult obstacles only time will tell if there will be a contestant who is warrior enough to make it all the way and win the top prize.

Tonight’s stop in Carrie Furnace will bring on more hopefuls. Check back after the show for a recap and results here on Haveuheard.
