“The Astronaut Wives Club” is being looked at as one of the hottest new shows to watch for Summer, much like “unReal” and “So You Think You Can Dance.” Tonight is the series premiere of the television show adapted from a book so we shall see if it lives up to the hype!

Fans of the Lily Koppel novel “The Astronaut Wives Club: A True Story” have been hearing about this show for a long time now. Originally, it was supposed to air during the 2013-2014 television season but then it was pushed back. Ten episodes were ordered for the series and it was supposed to start last Summer. That did not happen but now, we can finally see what this show is all about. I believe that anything that has been tossed around like that and then gets a set air date must have something to it for people to keep fighting to show it. There were also some changes that needed to be made and now here we are, on premiere night.

“The Astronaut Wives Club” is not short of names we have heard before in both television and film. Joanna Garcia of “Reba” and “Once Upon A Time” fame plays Betty Grissom; Desmond Harrington from “Gossip Girl” plays Alan Shephard; Odette Annable from “You Again” stars as Trudy Cooper and “Chuck” star¬†Yvonne Strzechowski rounds it out as Rene Carpenter. It is written by women, which is a really great thing to see in Hollywood and in the premiere, seven women have their lives forever transformed when their husbands are chosen to be the first Americans in space. This also causes an amazing bond between the seven as they have to deal with the trial and errors of everything that comes with being an astronaut’s wife.

So, will you be tuning into the premiere tonight? I am all for women supporting women so I am hopeful that this will show the good sides as opposed to the catty sides of ladies. Keep reading to see what happens on the premiere as they Launch…
