Jessica Simpson’s Mother Engaged!

By on June 3, 2015

Tina Simpson must have caught the wedding bug from superstar daughters Jessica Simpson and Ashlee as she has announced that she too will be walking down the aisle. The grandmother to Maxwell, Ace, Bronx and soon-to-be Baby Ross is engaged to Johnny Appleseed Landscaping Company owner Jon Goldstein. The couple have been together for about two years now and are over the moon with excitement for this new chapter in their life. Her daughters may be super successful but her new beau’s clientele is very noteworthy as well. They include Tom Hanks and Mark Wahlberg; not too shabby.

Tina had previously been married for over thirty years to Joe Simpson, who helped to launch both his daughter’s musical careers. He also managed Ryan Cabrera and produced the reality shows “Newlyweds” and “The Ashlee Simpson Show.” Joe Simpson was in the spotlight several years ago for apparently being gay but that was dismissed, mainly by the family and was arrested for a DUI in 2012. Tina and Jon have known each other for over a decade and a half and he has always admired her. “He’s a really nice guy. He’s always cared about Tina…He’s known them for 15 years and has been a part of their family. He’s so happy she said yes! I know he had been planning on asking her for a while,” according to a friend of Jon’s.

Tina’s rep had this to say about the engagement: “are thrilled and completely in love!” Apparently, Jessica and Ashlee are happy for their mom given that she is happy and has really always been by their side. As for a wedding date, location, ring and all that fun and good stuff, we have no word on that yet. I am sure that Jessica will make sure her mom has the best of the best when it comes to the bridal shower and bachelorette party. Joe Simpson has yet to release a statement regarding his ex-wife remarrying. We are very happy for the couple and wish them nothing but the best.
