Kelly Ripa dyed her hair a shocking bright pink and showed it off in an Instagram pic before debuting it on Live! With Kelly and Michael. She shared the shot of her dramatic new color writing: for the love of PINK.”

The perky blonde began her career on All My Children showing up in Pine Valley with  punk black hair before settling back into her more natural looking blonde and becoming part of a hot super couple that fans couldn’t get enough of eventually marrying her on screen love, hunky Mark Consuelos. Her wholesome looks and bright personality helped her land the co-hosting gig on Live! first with former host Regis Philbin and then Michael Strahan.

The Instagram pic shows her having fun while showing off her vivid new hue. She gave a shoutout to hairdresser Ryan Trygstad the artists behind her  bold shade telling him, “you are boss!”

Trygstad posted his own shot of the actress turned talk show host telling her, “why not” and “never stop playing.”

After having fun with it on Instagram, she showed up on the set of Live! With Kelly and Michael and joked that she’s now known as “Pinky Galore.” The star known for her fun personality explained that she’s going off on vacation soon saying, “Every time I get ready to go on vacation, I dye my hair a different color,” adding that, “usually it washes out-and this will wash out- I just haven’t washed my hair yet.” Calling it, “my tradition,” she said, “I like to have fun hair for two weeks.”

Kelly, besties with Bravo star Andy Cohen, has always had a look that goes back and forth between casual and glam. She joked about being blonde for so long and needing a change saying, “I’ve had the same hair color for… Oh, I don’t know. Six months at least,” laughingly adding, “That’s a long time for me so I went pink.”
