While many couples opt for IVF when struggling with pregnancy, few choose the sex of their child. Once again, Kim and Kanye are stirring controversy with the news from US Magazine, that ‘sources’ are claiming the couple chose gender selection and requested to only have boy embryos implanted in Kim.

The procedure known as Gender Selection is said to begin at a costly $17,000. The doctors isolate fertilized embryos of the preferred sex in a lab before transferring them to the uterus of the woman.

According to the magazine the source was quoted as saying,

Kanye and Kim are so excited to complete their family. Kanye loves Nori more than anything, but to make his world complete, he wanted a little boy, an heir.”

There are also rumors that Kim wanted two children and having a boy would complete the family.

The couple documented their struggles with having a second child on the reality series, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, where we saw Kim have several unsuccessful attempts at IVF before becoming pregnant with her second child.
