“Little People, Big World” Stars File For Divorce!
“Little People, Big World” became a household phenomenon as we got to see what it was like to be a little person and how successful they could be. It spawned shows like “Little Women: LA” and more people fans became so intrigued. Now, Amy Roloff and husband Matt have decided to end their marriage after a legal separation. It is not said who specifically filed the paperwork but after taking a break in March 2014, the couple finally decided that this was what was best for their family. Amy and Matt have four children: twins Jeremy and Zack, 25; daughter Molly, 21, and their youngest, Jacob, 18.
Out of the four children, Zack has carried on his parent’s dwarfism trait but that has only made them stronger as a family. It is not know whether or not TLC will continue to follow the family during this time or if either Matt, Amy or the children will get a spin-off. According to an official statement to E! by the couple: “After 27 years of marriage, it is with great sadness that we have come to the difficult decision to file for divorce. We are proud of what we have accomplished together including raising four wonderful children who have grown to become remarkable adults and building our strong and ongoing successful businesses. Our kids and our ever growing family, and the love and support we have for them, will be our priority. We will continue to work together side by side in the daily responsibilities for our many current ventures. We would like to thank our family, friends and all our fans for their continued support and understanding during this difficult time.”
Amy has openly said that she and Matt never really learned how to “live together” and it really was not what she wanted for him to leave. As for what happens next, I suppose we will just have to wait and see but we wish the whole Roloff family the absolute best during this most difficult time.
