No one knew that this was happening or what to expect but according to social media, fans will not be sleeping tonight. In fact, Friday should just be cancelled and renamed “Orange Is the New Black” season three release day. With “Scandal” being on hiatus, there was very limited televised competition to go up against the hit series which stars Taylor Schilling, Laura Prepon, Laverne Cox and a slew of other amazing talent. According to the people at Netflix, this is what they had to say about the release: “I’m just going to let people enjoy the experience.” Fans on Twitter are continuously saying that they will get no sleep tonight and that they will be in so much trouble in the morning but they do not care. Filming for season four of the hit prison show will begin on Monday but no release date has been set. Even if there was one, why would we even want to listen to that or believe it?

The cast even chimed in on the 9p.m. premiere. Lolita Foster, who plays Maxwell had this to say: “The wait is over. Get some.” Kate Mulgrew aka Red piggy-backed that with: “It’s true! Season 3 is available NOW! Go! Watch! Enjoy!” The actual announcement was made at OrangeCon, where fans gathered with the show’s stars and at 9:08p.m. EST, Netflix tweeted this: “Attention inmates! Orange Is the New Black season 3 is out on early release. #OrangeCon.” This will probably be trending all night and fans will have so much to say by the morning. We will keep you updated. Now go…binge…and tell us what you think.
