“So You Think You Can Dance” is headed to Los Angeles this week and they are hoping to find some more talent for their street and stage teams. You can keep up with season twelve of “So You Can Think You Can Dance” here.

This season is totally different because we have new judges Jason Derulo and Paula Abdul. Paula is still as kind and generous as she ever has been while Jason does not seem all that impressed by the dancers. He has an unimpressed face time the entire audition process. We have seen some great characters this season like Courtney from episode one who had Paula so impressed that she called Richard Simmons, fitness guru to get Courtney a work-out show. Then we have the couple who met last year in line for the auditions and now they are engaged and heading to Las Vegas. I wonder if they will fit in a wedding while they are out there working. What I love is that the judges encourage the dancers to bring their influences and families on stage.

We have been in Detroit, a few Southern states and now it is the city where dreams are made. This year, there will be two teams: stage and street and each dancer is auditioning for a spot on one of the teams. That adds a twist on the show because it is categorized, which makes it a lot more fun yet challenging. Nigel Lythgoe is still on the panel and every time I see him, I keep thinking that he is Simon Cowell and will be harsh and bitter but he dances just along with Paula and Jason. I think it’s a good fit sans Jason but he does have moves so I guess it works. He has not been shy to join contestants on stage though sometimes he is prodded.

Tonight, a whole new round of dancers will attempt to get a ticket to Las Vegas where they will hopefully move on to the next chapter of the show.

Keep reading to see who makes it and who is sent home.
