Former American Idol contestant, Adam Lambert, appeared on Good Morning America as part of their summer concert schedule where he sang hits songs such as, “Ghost Town” and “Whatdaya Want From Me.”

The song off his new album, ‘The Original High,’ is already one of the hit songs of the summer.

Lambert, who achieved fame on the long running series, American Idol, placing second on Season 8 of the show, is okay with the show ending, saying he thinks it’s time. He believes the next place talent will be discovered will be YouTube saying, “Things like YouTube have now become a great way for people to launch their talent, as well. I think things might be shifting a little bit, so we’ll see what the next phase is.”

Since appearing on American Idol, Lambert has ditched the wild antics he was known for during the show saying in a radio interview, “I don’t think I fully understood what I was getting into when I auditioned. I was just looking for new opportunities,”

The singer has taken advantage of those opportunities, even touring with the iconic band, Queen.

The Summer Concert Series, held in Central Par in New York City welcomes amazing singers including music super stars Nicki Minaj, Jason Derulo, Ed Sheeran, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, 5 Seconds of Summer, and more chart-topping artists.
