America’s Got Talent Recap 7/14/15 – Judges’ Cut – Season 10
On tonight’s episode of America’s Got Talent we’ll be seeing the first night of the judges’ cuts – with special guest Neil Patrick Harris!
Now that all of the acts have shown their stuff at least once, they’ll do it again for the judges and Neil and try to prove that they deserve to make it through to the live shows. Tonight Neil will also have a Golden Buzzer, which means he can send an act straight through to the live shows without having the other judges vote – pretty cool! There will be 20 acts performing tonight, but only 7 of them are allowed to make it through to the live shows.
As always, host Nick Cannon is joined by the regular judges Howard Stern, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Mel B.

Performance Notes: Freelusion is one of the acts that auditioned in LA and showcased their choreography with illustrations and graphics behind them that they interacted with. I always love these performances – and this one in particular is quite good. They’re telling the story of the Seven Deadly Sins.
The Results: Howard said everything was “just about perfect” in his book and he feels they’re strong contenders. Neil said he would buzz the golden buzzer except he feels 100% confident that they’ll go through on their own without it. Mel said the group (a trio, today) has set the bar incredibly high, while Howie finished it off saying that if he had 1 little criticism it would be that Mel wouldn’t stop gasping and expressing her awe in his ear. We’ll find out later if they make the cut!
Contestant: Paul Ponce
Performance Notes: I thought this was pretty good, but Howard apparently didn’t as he hit his buzzer! During his performance Paul worked the room, leaving the stage and going towards the judges table while “juggling” a soccer ball on his head and face. He also “jumped rope” with the ball, which looked pretty tricky.
The Results: Howard said that “at the end of the day it’s a guy bouncing a ball on his head,” while Mel said that although it started off mediocre he picked up the pace at the end. Neil wrapped it up by saying that it would be an interesting deliberation.
