America’s Got Talent Recap 7/21/15 – Judges’ Cut 2 – Season 10
On tonight’s episode of America’s Got Talent the judges will be going through the second part of the Judges’ Cut rounds. They’ll essentially be reviewing all of the contestants that they’ve sent through to this round and determining who will stay and move on to the live shows at Radio City Music Hall and who will be heading home.
As always, host Nick Cannon will be joined by judges Howard Stern, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and former Spice Girl Mel B. In addition, they’ll be joined by guest judge Michael Buble!
Tonight the judges will be watching 20 acts, but only 7 can make it through. And Michael Buble will have the opportunity to use the Golden Buzzer!
And now, on with the show!
Contestant: Aiden Sinclair
Talent: Card Trick Magician
Performance Notes: This was ridiculous. Aiden handed the judges a deck of cards. Told them to look at 1 card in the deck and pass it along, and then had Howie throw the deck back to him. The deck – which was bundled together – handed on the ground. But it didn’t matter, because Aiden accurately announced which card every single judge had looked at. WHAT!?
The Results: Mind. Blown.
Contestant: Jenna Renae
Performance Notes: She sang a beautiful song, while accompanying herself on the piano, and each of the judges lavished praise on her. Howard did advise that she “own the stage a bit more,” but will it be enough?
Contestant: Shirley Claire
Performance Notes: The judges seemed to love Shirley’s performance – although they did bring up the concern that she might age out of the competition (… she’s 80).
Contestant: Daniella Mass
Performance Notes: Oh she sang a beeeautiful, opera-ish rendition of “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina,” in both English and Spanish. The judges (and most importantly, the audience) absolutely loved her – and so did I!
Contestant: Ira and Miriam (they’re puppets)
Talent: Comedy? Puppet Show? Wait no, the puppet (Ira) is singing… I’m so confused.
Performance Notes: But WOW he’s an awesome singer. I think – they could just be it via iPod or something. The judges, however, enjoyed the performance – so… maybe it’ll be enough for him/them to make it through!
Talent: Dancer (who also happens to be nearly completely blind)
Performance Notes: … a completely moving, beautiful performance. He also explained during his talk with the judges that while dancers, in general, “spot” while they dance (ie: keep track of a certain space on the floor with their eyes, judge distance, etc) he is unable to do so, so he’s going solely on remember the exact measurements of his moves – by how they feel. Incredible.
Talent: Circus Performer
Performance Notes: The audience seemed to be huge fans of Uzeyer and urged Michael to get up on stage and try out the ladder.
