The women sit in Church. To the wives surprise, Annie sings perfectly with no stutter. They’re all proud. Deke and Marge talk about NASA grounding his flight. She mentions his ‘irregular heartbeat’ being part of it. It turns out he has Erythema. Meanwhile, Rene hosts a party with the other wives and they talk about how they’re going to move up in the world soon. Rene’s husband comes in- he’s replacing Deke in his part of the mission. That night, Louise and her husband wonder when it will be his turn. Trudy and Sam talk about plans for their new house. Trudy isn’t happy. The next morning, Scott prepares for his mission and the wives gather again. Scott and Rene talk to the reporters, and the latter tries to stir drama between Scott and Deke, but Scott shoots them down. The reporters ask if Scott or Rene pray- they say no, unlike John and Anne, and the reporters grill them for it, and even the other wives are surprised.
Rene and Scott get dragged back into the house, and their publicist rips them apart about implying they’re not religious. The wives regroup later, and Marge muses that she wants to get Deke un-grounded. She attempts to call the President to do so. Jo tells the girls about the house they’re planning on getting as Marge is shut down. Scott assures Rene he would’ve said the same thing about the prayer. Rene goes to Trudy to have a little bit of a getaway for the weekend with both of the women’s kids. Trudy scopes the place out to find Gordon flirting with another woman. She calls him back to the room and grills him on it, and he denies anything but the flirting is going on. She tells him to play housewife instead and goes off on her own.
