Bobbi Kristina Being Exploited by Family as She Lays Dying
Bobbi Kristina is being exploited even as she lays dying in hospice care. She has been hospitalized since she was found face down in a bathtub, in an eery similarity to her beloved mother’s death. Despite the best medical interventions, she was flown to Chicago in a last ditch effort at getting her help, she is now in hospice care with her family gathered around her.
However those around her are looking to get a payday out of the tragedy with someone shopping photos of the dying girl to tabloids. TMZ reported that they were approached but turned them down though there is apparently interest from other outlets. According to them the photo was taken by “an extended family member.”
Bobbi Kristina has not had an easy life. She lived through the volatile marriage her parents had. Her late mother Whitney Houston let her career flounder after becoming and addict even admitting to Oprah that her daughter once saw her father, Bobby Brown, spit in her face.
Her mother was found in the bathtub of her hotel in February 2012. Her death was ruled an accidental drowning with heart disease and cocaine use as contributing factors. Bobbi Kristina took the news very hard and was hospitalized a few days later.
Despite being the beneficiary to her mother’s $115 million dollar estate, Bobbi Kristina had her own struggles. She was the subject of rumors that she was also using drugs and that many of her familial relationships were strained. She faced controversy with her engagement to Nick Gordon, a close family friend she often referred to as her “big brother.”
The relationship between Bobbi Kristina and Nick was volatile, much like the relationship between her parents. There were rumors that not only were they doing drugs but that Nick was physically and verbally abusive. While announced that they had married, her father Bobby Brown’s lawyer said that no marriage had taken place.
The Brown and Houston families often clashed while at her bedside before finally making peace with one another as hope for Bobbi Kristina seemed less likely. After flying her to Chicago for one final attempt at helping her they faced the hard news that she was not going to recover and admitted her to hospice care. Her aunt Pat Houston released a statement saying, “Despite the great medical care at numerous facilities, Bobbi Kristina Brown’s condition has continued to deteriorate.”
As the family keeps vigil at her bedside, at least one member is looking at the dying girl as a payday and taking pictures.
