“I Am Cait” is the docu-series that fans have been waiting on for months and now, it is finally here. Bruce Jenner has officially transitioned into Caitlyn Jenner and there is no looking back. I think this will be pretty interesting.

As we learned when Diane Sawyer did a one-on-one interview with then Bruce Jenner, we learned that he had always felt that he was female. He had plans to transition in the early eighties and even started the process but then slowly stopped as he met third wife, Kris Jenner. The former Olympic gold medalist kept this secret though he did say that he let his three wives in on some of his struggle to be a man when he felt like a woman. He would secretly paint his toenails, something impressed stepdaughter Kim Kardashian West and had his own make-up and such. “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” did a two-part special where they focused solely on his transition and how it was affecting his family. For a while, his youngest daughters Kendall and Kylie assumed that he was having an affair when they saw all of his make-up.

After shaving down his Adam’s Apple, the paparazzi seemed to be on to Jenner and now, it was appropriate for him to tell his story, which he did. Weeks after the Diane Sawyer interview, Bruce introduced us to Caitlyn, his female counterpart, as she posed in lingerie for the cover of “Vanity Fair.” It was official as Jenner wanted only to be referred to by feminine pronouns. In her first day on Twitter, Caitlyn received over one million followers and garnered the support of President Barack Obama. A few weeks back, she accepted the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPY’s and I can say, my heart was in my mouth and I was so proud. I know that this can help those struggle with gender identity.

Tonight, on the premiere of “I Am Cait,” Caitlyn Jenner proudly announces her true self to the world via a Vanity Fair magazine cover story, but at the same time struggles with meeting some of her family for the first time. Meanwhile, she becomes inspired to learn more about transgender youth in crisis.
