Hank Baskett Gets Candid About Affair With Transgender Model
Hank Baskett has been relatively evasive since he was accused of having an affair with a transgender model when wife Kendra Wilkinson was pregnant with their second child. Now, after a stint on “Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars,” Baskett, 32 is opening up about his affair and getting candid. He talked with People Magazine about the affair that nearly ruined his six-year long marriage with the former girlfriend of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner. It has been a year since the dreaded affair that caused Kendra, 30 to flush her wedding ring down the toilet and tell Hank to move out as we saw in her weTV show “Kendra On Top.” Her biggest concern were her two children, Hank, now 5 and Alijah, a little over a year.
Her trust issues went through the roof and now, we can reveal what actually happened with Hank and the model back in April 2014, which started off as sharing marijuana. He wanted to buy some so he was given a number and went to said home associated with the number. Inside the home, Hank claims he found two naked transgender women, making out in front of him. No big deal. Then one went on to play with Hank through his shorts. “I didn’t engage in anything. It was like a bank robbery. You never know when you’ll freeze. I don’t know if it was a couple of seconds or 15 seconds, because all I was saying was get out, get out, get out.”
Hank went onto add: “I was this big former football player. I was the alpha male. I could do anything to protect my family but I couldn’t protect myself.” Kendra claims that Hank is looked at as: “very naïve and gullible. He thinks everybody is his friend. That led him to the hell that we’ve lived.” Not that she has much room to talk after moving into the Playboy Mansion at age eighteen to be one of Hef’s three main girlfriends. According to Kendra, there is one word that she will not use when it comes to this situation: “I don’t say the word ‘cheat.’ I can say he was not loyal to me. I don’t care about the act. I care about how he reacted to it and how I was told by the media what happened. That scarred me.”
After therapy and laying it all out on the line on television for the world to see, Kendra feels that their marriage is better now than it was before. “And I’m actually very happy Hank went through this now because he’s able to teach his son and his daughter what it’s like to make a mistake and what you do after making a mistake.” As for Hank, he is just happy to be free: “I have a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. I feel extremely free.” I do not know if I fully believe that at all but I am hopeful that they have worked through their issues and will continue to grow as a couple.
