Hulk Hogan Apologizes for N-Word Rant Saying It Is Not Who He Is

Hulk Hogan is apologizing for using the n-word during a rant caught on tape. On the tape, actually a sex tape, the Hulkster was overheard using the n-word quite frequently, and not in the same way he often said, “brother.”

The WWE reacted swiftly and fired him while Hulk Hogan is taking a page out of Donald Trump’s playbook by claiming he wasn’t fired. He claims he left the WWE.

He has since apologized for repeatedly using the n-word during an angry rant about his daughter Brooke’s ex-boyfriend saying it doesn’t reflect who he really is. He said:

Eight years ago I used offensive language during a conversation. It was unacceptable for me to have used that offensive language; there is no excuse for it; and I apologize for having done it.

In the sex tape Hulk is heard going on a venomous rant in which he hurls the n-world about the man Brooke had been dating. He is heard saying:

I mean, I don’t have double standard. I mean, I am a racist, to a point, f**king n**gers. I mean I’d rather if she was going to f**k some n**ger, I’d rather have her marry an 8-foot tall n**ger worth a hundred million dollars! Like a basketball player.

He has apparently changed his tune, or at least realized that the damage may be lessened with an apology because he is expressing remorse while saying:

I am disappointed with myself that I used language that is offensive and inconsistent with my own beliefs. It is not who I am. I continue to work every day to improve as a person, and this matter is an important learning experience for me in that regard.

While he is saying it is inconsistent with his beliefs it is difficult to find any way to justify some of his words. Besides the creepy conversation about who his daughter has sex with, he is clearly attempting to distinguish differences between African Americans while calling them the n-word.

Paula Deen admitted to using the word once 25 years ago and saw the end of her popular cooking show and her products removed from retail outlets. There was no audio or video of Deen unlike Hogan who is clearly heard using it.

Will this be the end of Hulk Hogan’s career, much like Paula Deen, or will his plea for forgiveness be accepted? Let us know what you think here at Haveuheard.
