The show opened with McHale waiting to go out on stage, receiving a reminder he was needed out there by Mo’Ne Davis, joking with Russell Wilson about throwing the ball to him and giving jockey Victor Espinoza a piggy back ride on stage. McHale immediately opened the show by mentioning Donald Trump and saying Espinoza will “make history again when he’s the first person Donald Trump deports to Mexico.” He then complimented the audience for showing up in the “nice suits you usually wear to your depositions. ” McHale joked about Tiger Woods and asked if his ex-girlfriend, Lindsay Von was behind him. He made a Ray Rice joke and even joked about Jason Pierre-Paul blowing off his finger with a firework, by saying he was at the show, with a finger sitting on a chair.

One of the most insulting jokes of the evening included a Bill Cosby dig when McHale said that Ronda Rousey has “knocked out more women than Bill Cosby.”

We will have the video of McHales complete opening monologue as soon as it is up.
