Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom Sign Papers; Divorce Almost Final
Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom are almost officially divorced as each party has signed on the dotted line, according to TMZ. This is somewhat of a surprise if you catch the previews for the upcoming season of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” when one of Khloe’s sisters catch her flirting with Lamar again. It also seemed like they may have a chance after Odom lost two close friends to drugs within a week, Khloe devastated as well, missing niece North West’s birthday in Disneyland. I thought that this would bring them back together for good and make Khloe realize that she needed to be with her husband of almost six years but clearly, that is not what is happening. You may remember the couple’s whirlwind courtship, which was documented on a special episode of E!’s KUWTK.
Khloe and Lamar met at a charity event and within nine days, they were hopelessly in love. He then told her that he could not live without her and they decided to get married. Viewers watched as mom Kris Jenner helped pull together an elaborate wedding for Khloe and Lamar in nine days which led to a spin-off for the couple, “Khloe and Lamar.” The show lasted a few seasons and spawned a fragrance but they separated after Lamar got hooked on drugs. Khloe kept it very private but eventually the truth came out and despite trying to fix their marriage (they did have each other’s initials tattooed on their hands), it is now definite that a reconciliation is off.
The court documents to end the couple’s marriage were filed on Friday, needing just one signature of a judge to be rid of one another legally. Whether they go back to each other and give it another chance just because is up to them. This was not an easy road as Khloe filed for divorce back in December of 2013, nearly a year and a half ago. But much like older sister, Kim Kardashian West who was married to Kris Humphries for 72 days but took forever to end the marriage, Khloe is in a very similar spot. So, when will the divorce be official? Depends on the legal system but as soon as he or she signs off, we will let you know.
