Simon Cowell Suffers Devastating Loss After Mother Passes Away!
Simon Cowell is taking a time-out to mourn the loss of his mother, Julie. She was eighty-nine and passed away during the auditions for “X Factor U.K.” which have now been put on hold while Simon deals with the grief. A family spokesperson came out and revealed that Julie had passed away on Sunday, leaving behind Simon, Nicholas, Tony and Michael. She also was the step-mother to John and June. I had no idea that Simon had such a large extended family. Cowell’s father, Eric had passed away in 1999 and Simon named his first son with Lauren Silverman after his dearly departed papa.
The “X Factor U.K.” auditions were scheduled to start this week however they have been cancelled and there is no word yet as to when or if they will be rescheduled. The family spokesperson has been very vocal about the sadness that the family is feeling right now but first a Syco spokesperson had to address the cancellations: “They were due to start today and carry on into Tuesday and Wednesday. Today’s have been cancelled and we have not made any decisions beyond that.”
As for the family: “Today our beloved mum Julie passed away. Anyone who had met her would know what a truly special and kind lady she was. We are heartbroken and will miss her terribly, but she is now at peace,” the family speaker confirmed Sunday. “We would like to thank the media for kindly respecting Julie’s privacy throughout and we politely request continued privacy for the entire family at this particularly difficult time.” Simon should take comfort in knowing that he was able to give his beloved mother a grandchild after seemingly staying a bachelor forever. She went knowing that he was secure and a good father with a loving partner by his side. We are waiting for Simon to say something but we understand if it will be a while until we hear anything. No word on funeral arrangements or any details like that but we wish the family all the best during this most difficult time.
