Taylor Swift has taken the high road in her war of words on Twitter with fellow music artist, Nikki Minaj.

Nicki began her rant on Twitter complaining about not getting a VMA Nomination for Video of the Year. She went on and on about how she deserved to be nominated and then claimed she was overlooked because she was a ‘different kind of artist,’ followed by a tweet that said, ‘If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year.’ At that point, Taylor jumped in and told Nikki, ‘@NICKIMINAJ I’ve done nothing but love & support you. It’s unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot.’

Actor Aaron Paul jumped in and invited the singers to coffee and pancakes and Ed Sheeran commented in an interview about the argument saying, that Taylor didn’t do anything wrong because she didn’t nominate herself for the awards. And then he took a jab at Minaj and said, “I think the Minaj point is a bit redundant. Her point is that you have to be skinny and white to get a Video of the Year nomination, but Beyonce’s ‘7/11′ is in there, and that is celebrating the female figure in every form.”

Finally, Katy Perry had to get her two cents in and all but called Swift a hypocrite. While she didn’t name Swift, we all knew who she was talking about.

Swift apologized to Minaj today, Thursday, July 23, 2015, via Twitter saying,

“I thought I was being called out. I missed the point, I misunderstood, then misspoke. I’m sorry, Nicki. @NICKIMINAJ.”

Nicki responded accepting the apology saying, “That means so much Taylor, thank you. @taylorswift13.” When a fan commented how happy they were that Nicki and Taylor made up, Minaj took the opportunity to profess her love for Taylor Swift saying,

“I’ve always loved her. Everyone makes mistakes. She gained so much more respect from me. Let’s move on.”

Ed Sheeran also apologized – sort of, saying he missed the point.

The only person who still hasn’t apologized or acknowledged they were wrong in any way is Katy Perry. Something tells me we will be waiting a very long time before we hear an apology from Katy Perry to Taylor Swift.

What do you think about this Twitter war? It will definitely help with the ratings for the VMA Awards.
