Adam Levine’s Advisor For Season 9 of “The Voice” Revealed; Who Is It?

By on August 10, 2015

Adam Levine and crew are gearing up for the premiere of season nine of “The Voice,” scheduled to premiere Monday September 21st. Right around now, the coaches are getting their teams together but they also need advisors to help with the Battle Rounds. Last season, Adam Levine chose Ellie Goulding; this season, his pick is a tad more traditional. Levine’s team will be working with John Fogerty. A member of The Creedence Clearwater Revival, aspiring singers are going to be more than excited to learn from him and his expertise. However, I am waiting for the day when a singer comes in and has no idea who the advisor sitting with their coach is. They see Alicia Keys and they about fall down but it will take those who appreciate all genres and generations of music to understand the gift that comes with someone like Fogerty.

The news was confirmed to People by NBC and Fogerty had this to say about working with former People’s Sexiest Man Alive: “Hangin’ with Adam, singing ‘Lookin’ Out My Backdoor’ with him … [I’m] just having the time of my life right now. Adam has an incredible voice and I am honored that he asked me to join him. I have great respect for the amount of work that goes into this show and the contestants that I got to hear sing, really impressed me.” And Fogerty has a lot of faith in Team Adam as he added: “It appears Adam has the winner. I saw something really unique and special. I can’t give away details, but when this show airs I think the world will see for themselves and it won’t be a secret for long.” Adam did win season one of the show but Blake Shelton has the most wins and an equally as amazing advisor, Brad Paisley.

According to Shelton: “He’s really been good to me, and so the fact that I was able to get him here and and advise my team made perfect sense to me because he was actually a mentor for me. If you know anything about country music, you know who Brad Paisley is. He’s entertainer of the year. He’s male vocalist of the year. He’s sold millions of albums, and sold out tours. He’s just one of the more respected singers. and just [among] people in the music industry and Nashville.” We are still waiting to hear who Gwen Stefani and last season’s reigning champ Pharrell Williams will choose to be by their sides but that should come out any day now. What team are you rooting for? I am just excited to see the bromance between Adam and Blake again.
