Dancing With the Stars Confirmation- Len Goodman Is Leaving the Show
It is official! Len Goodman, an original judge from “Dancing With the Stars,” is officially NOT returning for this upcoming season of the show. He had announced that last season would be the final one for him but then the showrunner, Rob Wade gave some semblance of hope when revealing who was staying and who was going. Now, People Magazine exclusively reports that Goodman is dunzo but Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli as well as Julianne Hough will return to the show for season twenty-one. Wade had already said that they were looking at guest judges and my personal pick would be Derek Hough, who suffered an injury last season. He is well-respected and could completely round off the panel however there is something about Len that fans just love. It could be the accent or the dry sense of humor and whatever it is, it will definitely be missed.
Rob Wade made the announcement today, via People: “Len will not be returning as a judge this season on Dancing with the Stars due to his schedule as a judge on Strictly Come Dancingin the U.K. and the birth of his new grandson. He still might be involved in the season at some capacity, but we will have to wait and see. We are planning on having great guest judges for some shows to join Bruno (Tolioli), Carrie Ann (Inaba) and Julianne (Hough), and I’m sure we will see Len in the ballroom again soon.” We can confirm that Karina Smirnoff is on board for season twenty-one as is Val, who won with Rumer Willis in season twenty.
The celebrities will be revealed on GMA on Wednesday September 2nd. The new season will premiere September 14th will the elimination happening the following week. So, even though he can be harsh, will you miss Len in the ballroom? I know that I certainly will and I do not know how I feel about the show going forward. Let us know what you think.
