Richards is accused of stealing $600 worth of merchandise from a Target near her home. Security spotted her taking several items and placed her under a citizen’s arrest until the police arrived on the premises, according to E!.

This isn’t Richards first run in with the law, as she was previously arrested on April 16, 2015 for appearing intoxicated while at the Beverly Hills Hotel where she was acting acting belligerent with slurred speech and reeking of alcohol. She was charged with three misdemeanors including: resisting arrest, public intoxication and battery.

Kim also made headlines when she disappeared following her release from rehab to attend her daughter’s wedding. She went MIA but later turned up and returned to rehab. She later made an appearance on Dr. Phil where she said she had been clean for a month.

There hasn’t been any word if Kim Richards was intoxicated when she was arrested for shoplifting. The likelihood is high, since she has a history of problems with alcohol.

Richards is currently estranged from her sister, Kyle, who has tried to help her in the past but is currently giving her some tough love and no longer providing assistance and getting her out of trouble.

Richards had been said to wanted to return to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills with Radar Online saying she had been begging the producers to give her the job back, even showing up at the producers offices. If Kim Richards really wants her job back, shoplifting is definitely not the way to go. She needs to stay clean and sober and stay out of trouble or at least one of those. Too clean doesn’t make for good television.
