Did Kristen Stewart Admit to Being Bi-Sexual?
Kristen Stewart is busy promoting her latest movie American Ultra with Jesse Eisenberg and just when we thought every topic possible was covered we forgot the one topic that everyone wants to know the answer to – Stewart’s sexuality. Is she bi-sexual or a lesbian? We have seen her holding hands with her assistant, sparking rumors she is a lesbian, following her years of her allegedly dating Robert Pattinson.
Kristen is on the cover of the September Issue of Nylon Magazine where she speaks about her sexuality, her personality and much more. When discussing her sexuality, Stewart didn’t feel the need to define herself. That statement speaks volumes. She wasn’t willing to define herself or her parameters – in other words – why pigeon hole yourself and say you prefer men or you prefer women. She doesn’t feel the need to ‘come out,’ saying she is just a ‘kid making movies.’ What she is really saying is – why do we even care? If she wasn’t a movie star in all likelihood we wouldn’t care. At. All.
Stewart spoke about taking on new roles anyhow she is always terrified before each role saying,
“I’m always f**king terrified before every role, even if it’s fun and stupid or whatever. American Ultra is a stoner comedy, but it was physically strenuous, and to try and tell such an absurd story but keep it grounded so people will believe it is really hard.”
As for her perceived personality: “It’s like I’m involved in a weekly comic book. I have this assigned personality…which I helped create, I suppose. People stand to make a lot of money on people like me—it’s this booming industry, so why would you go and change the character that people are paying for?”
Kristen spoke about that perceived personality on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon saying she decided to go out and smile one day and the paparazzi who follows her couldn’t thank her enough since they made a lot of money from a photo of Kristen smiling.
She feels no need to define herself or her sexuality right now: “If you feel like you really want to define yourself, and you have the ability to articulate those parameters and that in itself defines you, then do it. But I am an actress, man. I live in the fucking ambiguity of this life and I love it. I don’t feel like it would be true for me to be like, ‘I’m coming out!’ No, I do a job. Until I decide that I’m starting a foundation or that I have some perspective or opinion that other people should be receiving…I don’t. I’m just a kid making movies.”
Changing times of fame: “It’s funny when older actors are like, ‘Just give them a smile.’ I’m like, ‘You have no idea what you’re talking about, but thanks!’ It must’ve been awesome without the Internet.”
What do you think about what Kristen Stewart said about her sexuality? Do you agree with her – who really cares??
