Rihanna Is Joining Season 9 of “The Voice”- What Will She Be Doing?

By on August 13, 2015

A little over a month and season nine of “The Voice” will debut and it will be super exciting. One thing that will make it interesting is that two of the coaches, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani both just went through separations/divorces. I cannot wait to see how that is handled since Blake always used ex Miranda Lambert as bait when he wanted country singers for his team. But there is even more exciting news going on with the NBC show; Rihanna is joining season nine of the hit singing competition. But what will she be doing on the show?

We already know that Brad Paisley will be advising for Blake’s team while John Fogerty will be advising Adam Levine’s team so does that mean Rihanna is Team Gwen or maybe Team Pharrell Williams? She is actually going to be the key advisor for all four teams this season. Seasons past have seen Nate Ruess from FUN, Taylor Swift and Chris Martin so to get Rihanna will be so huge for the show, fans and those who she will be advising. I can foresee a lot of jaws dropping and “hands over the mouth” reactions. But what if someone picks a Chris Brown song?

That will be just as interesting as the bromance between Adam and Blake, which is totally cool now that Blake is single. NBC’s Entertainment Chairman, Robert Greenblatt, made the announcement at the TCA Press Tour:¬†“We landed Rihanna to be the key advisor to all the coaches this fall.¬†This is one of music’s true supervisors coming on board to influence the lives and careers of the performers.” But if you think that she will be sitting in a coaches seat any time soon, do not get your hopes up. Sources have told E! that Christina Aguilera will return to her post for season ten as she has alternated with Gwen Stefani and Shakira over the seasons. The new season of “The Voice” starts Monday September 21st and we will be there! Are you excited about this new addition? Let us know!
