Taylor Swift appears on the cover of Vanity Fair’s September Issue where she spoke about the bond between she and her friends, what it’s like when they date the same men, how she was finally able to forgive Kanye West for the very famous incident where he interrupted her speech while accepting an award at the 2009 Video Music Awards and much more!

Speaking about her very famous friends who include Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Martha Hunt, and Karlie Kloss the Grammy winning artist said,

“When you’ve got this group of girls who need each other as much as we need each other, in this climate, when it’s so hard for women to be understood and portrayed the right way in the media. . . . now more than ever we need to be good and kind to each other and not judge each other—and just because you have the same taste in men, we don’t hold that against each other,” she says.

Her friend Gigi Hadid is dating Joe Jonas, who famously broke up with Taylor Swift on the phone and while Jonas and Swift battled it out through song, they are able to hang out as couples along with Taylor and her boyfriend, Calvin Harris.

As for how she was able to forgive Kanye West for the major diss that took place back in 2009? Swift said she was looking for respect from the artist and wasn’t able to forgive him until she received the respect. It took becoming friends with Jay Z for Taylor and Kanye to move past their differences. Taylor said, “I became friends with Jay Z, and I think it was important, for Jay Z, for Kanye and I to get along. . . . And then Kanye and I both reached a place where he would say really nice things about my music and what I’ve accomplished, and I could ask him how his kid’s doing.”

What does the most popular singer in the world want from her future?? She hopes to use her celebrity for the greater good saying “If you look at Oprah, she’s made so many people happy over the years. She’s made so much money, but she’s given so much of it away. . . . Same thing with Angelina Jolie. She’s been so productive, but she’s used that position to better other people’s lives, and I think that’s where I’d want to be.”

One thing about Taylor and her fame is she has managed to stay grounded and maintain her amazing sense of humor. When referred to as a style icon by Vanity Fair, the singer said the day she is going to admit to being a style icon “is a day you need to look in the mirror and really check yourself.”

What do you think about what Taylor had to say about dating the same people as her friends? Most people would think that is awkward. Kudos to her for realizing that just because you and someone doesn’t work, doesn’t mean that a friend and an ex can’t make it work.
