Taylor Swift Sings ‘Smelly Cat’ with Friends Star Lisa Kudrow
Taylor Swift teamed up with former Friends actress, Lisa Kudrow to sing the song, Smelly Cat.
For anyone who may not be familiar with Smelly Cat, it was a song made popular when Lisa Kudrow’s character, Phoebe Buffay, performed it at the famous coffee house, Central Perk on the hit television series, Friends. Phoebe’s performance was pretty awful, but the song became a hit among fans of the hit show.
The Smelly Cat rendition happened during Taylor Swift’s last concert in Los Angeles at the Staples Center when she brought out Lisa Kudrow, the amazing Phoebe Buffay. While singing the famous tune, Kudrow stopped midway throughout to tell Taylor to get more into it!
Taylor and Lisa both strummed the guitar while Taylor sang the words, “They won’t take you to the vet; you’re obviously not their favorite pet,” After Taylor sang, Lisa stopped her. “That was good, but um, you have to really feel the lyrics,” Lisa said. Taylor asked, “Like how?” And history was made when Lisa sang that iconic verse, ‘Smelly Cat.’
The crowd went crazy. It’s clear that Taylor is a Friends fan – and who can blame her – Friends is one of those iconic shows that generations have been following for years. Taylor has also brought out Matt LeBlanc, also known as Joey Tribbiani on Aug. 29th.
Also at the show was Selena Gomez and Justin Timberlake, who both performed with Swift.
