The premiere episode will kick off with the biggest number in DWTS history shot on Hollywood Boulevard. Then we will see each of the celebrities  and their pro dance partner take on a style of dance including the Cha Cha, Foxtrot, Salsa, Quickstep or Jive. As usual, America will vote and decide who will advance to week 2 of the competition and who will be the first celebrity to be sent home.

Victor and Karina
Song: G.D.F.R. by Flo Rida
Dance: Salsa
Judges Comments: Julianne: That was a fun and interesting way to start the season. I was really surprised. I thought there might have been a stiff situation down there. Bruno: You were grinding it like mad. The thing is we need to see a bit more salsa and you have to be on time. CarrieAnn: You are adorable and I didn’t expect you to come out and be the Latin Lover of the group. There was no salsa but I give you credit for the galloping and horsing.
Scores: 15/30

Tamar Braxton & Valentin Chmerkovskiy
Song – “Do Your Thing” by Basement Jaxx
Dance: QuickStep
Judges Comments: Bruno: An incredible amount of content. Just keeping up that speed was unbelievable. Long way to go but it is just the beginning. CarrieAnn: I did not expect that and week one that is one of the hardest dances to do. Julieann: For a first dance and a first week of the quickstep that was really really great!
Scores: 23/30

Hayes Grier and Emma
Song – “Cheerleader” by Omi
Dance: Cha Cha
Judges Comments: Julianne: You have a natural ability. You have to focus on your core strength. Open your eyes. Focus on Emma and you will be in synch. Bruno: Boy wonder. You are worth more than 6 seconds, I can watch you for an hour. When you do your moves don’t throw it away. Hit it. CarrieAnn: I was watching you wishing I was younger. You are so fun to watch because you have this youthful gawkiness and you have great stage persona. Julianne is right open your eyes please.
Scores: 21/30

Andy Grammer & Allison Holker – “Marvin Gaye” by Charlie Puth ft. Meghan Trainor
Dance: Foxtrot
Judges Comments: Bruno: for a first time tackling the foxtrot you did pretty well. You have to be careful with the footwork. It needs to be smooth. It should come naturally. As a debut, you did extremely well. CarrieAnn: I could feel the tenderness while you were dancing. You seemed nervous. Send your energy to Allison. Julieann: I thought you had connection, musicality and for me my favorite part was that a true performer was present. And you were present.
Scores: 21/30
