We will be recapping, so be sure to come back to Have U Heard and see what happens when Grey’s Anatomy returns for the 12th season.
The show begins with two girls being brought in after being hit by a train. The one girl, Jess, claims she doesn’t know the other girl, Leah, but we learn they are actually a couple, who wanted to be together. Arizona talks to the girl and tells her that she likes girls too. Jess explains her parents are sending her away to a camp, where they come and get you in the middle of the night and take you away and try and change you. Jess reveals her mom found a box of notes from Leah and burned them in the fireplace.
Callie brings up the bullying to Karev and asks him why he bullies people. Maggie talks about how she was bullied and says people bully because they can. When she is confronted by Jess’ mother, who is yelling in her face, she punches her right in the face. And all of the doctors high five her. They are not happy with Jess’ mother, who is a homophobe. When Maggie apologizes to the mother for hitting her, the father tells the mother to shut up.
The fathers of the girls bond and comfort each other during their time of need.
Meanwhile, Bailey is a candidate for the Chief of Surgery. There is another doctor, Traci McConnell, who is also vying for the position and when she helps Meredith save the girl in surgery, Bailey walks out of the room. When it comes time to give a presentation to the board for the job, she almost backs out but ends up giving the presentation while performing surgery, telling the board why she is perfect for the job and why she would be a better choice than Traci McConnell. Bailey got the job – she is the new Chief of Surgery.
Arizona can’t understand why no one wants to live with her and when Stephanie tells her the reason in detail about how horrible she is viewed by the interns, she doesn’t believe it.
April finally comes home and runs into Jackson at the hospital. Awkward is an understatement.
