Prince William and Duchess Kate to Become King and Queen? – Elizabeth Skipping Over Charles
The latest rumor to hit the tabloid magazines is Prince William and Duchess Kate will soon be the King and Queen of England.
OK Magazine is reporting the news saying Queen Elizabeth has decided to skip Prince Charles, who is first in line for the throne and pass the monarchy on to Prince William. Why would Queen Elizabeth insist upon skipping a generation? According to the magazine, Charles’ wife, Camilla, is one reason. Prince Charles reportedly cheated on his wife, Princess Diana with Camilla and since she is a divorcee, this doesn’t sit well with the queen. Another reason is that Prince William and his wife, the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton are well liked. A lot more well liked than Charles. Allegedly, in a climate where the monarchy is becoming less and less important, being well liked is very important, as it will keep the monarchy relevant and important.
When will this allegedly all happen? At the Queen’s 90th birthday celebration in April. Queen Elizabeth II has held her position as Queen for more than 63 years, making her the holder of the longest person to hold the reign of the British Monarchy.
Being named King and Queen of the British Monarchy would definitely put Prince William and the Duchess front and center, along with their beloved children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. It will also cause problems with Prince Charles, who has been sitting by waiting for the opportunity to become King Charles.
What do you think about the news? Is there any truth to this? Should we believe the magazine that is known for making up news as they see fit??
