Robert Pattinson Insulted When He is Called an American
Robert Pattinson just insulted an entire country in an interview with Elle France, when he was asked the most insulting thing anyone has ever said to him.
The answer to the question was “as a Brit, to hear someone say I’m American is the worst insult! I am English! Let it be known once and for all!”
Nothing like biting the hand that feeds you. American teenagers everywhere are sitting in their bedrooms crying. Those same teenagers who paid the hefty price of a movie ticket to see Pattinson when he was in the Twilight movie franchise.
One would think most people know Pattinson in English. It is something he is quite proud of. He spoke about living in both Los Angeles and London and likes London better because people leave him alone. If he is out and about in London, people leave him alone. That is definitely less likely in Los Angeles, where the paparazzi prey on celebrities like a hunter preying on deer. Ben Affleck was hounded by a photographer who videotaped the confrontation, as he was leaving counseling with his soon to be ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.
Pattinson also spoke about how fame has changed his life saying, he was unfortunate to become famous in 2008, the same year that social media exploded making the fans and paparazzi who were tracking his every move virtually impossible to have a private moment. It even caused him to become paranoid and fear leaving his house.
Just as famous for Twilight, the romance between Robert Pattinson and his Twilight co-star, Kristen Stewart left all of their fans wanting to know more about the couple. When asked about Stewart, Pattinson did not want to comment about their relationship. Since he is now engaged to FKA Twigs, that would seem the appropriate thing to do.
What do you think of Pattinson getting upset when people mistake him for being American? Do you think this will prove to be upsetting to his fans??
