Dancing With the Stars Recap 10/12/15 – ‘The Switch Up’ – Who Was Eliminated?
Dancing With the Stars is Switching it up this week. That means that the celebrity dancers will be paired up with a new pro for this week only.
Last week we saw Gary Busey sent home. That means that Chaka, Vincent, Kim Zolciak and Gary have all been sent home, who will be sent home this week? Will it be Paula, who has landed on the bottom of the pack, week after week?
Bindi Irwin received her first 10 last week, landing at the top of the leaderboard week after week. Is it because Derek gets amazing dancers each season or is Derek Hough just an amazing teacher?
We have a great guest judge this week, with the return of Maksim Chmerkovskiy!!
So who will be dancing with whom and what will they be dancing to:
Hayes Grier and Allison Holker
Dance: Viennese Waltz
Judges Comments: Bruno: very difficult routine. You must keep shoulders down at all time. It ended up a bit kangarooish. CarrieAnn: I disagree. I thought it was very sophisticated. Be careful with your chin. Julieanne: I think this partnership is beautiful. There is something that is very youthful and charming. Maks: High fives Bruno. There were a lot of steps. I wish it was slower and more fluent. It was very jumpy and fast. Your facial expressions didn’t show sophistication. It was a lot of work and you put a lot of effort in.
Total Scores: 30/40
Tamar Braxton and Louis van Amstel
Judges Comments: Bruno: there were some balance issues today. You kept throwing up your arms, so it lacked the finish. Keep your personality, but clean it up. CarrieAnn: You own the dance floor every time you go out there. Tonight there was a bit of a disconnect, but next week will be fantastic. Julieanne: The dances are twice as long as previous weeks. The thing we are all feeling is getting grounded. It felt high and erratic.
Total Scores: 29/40
Paula Deen and Mark Ballas
Judges Comments: Carrieann: You are a naughty little crazy silver fox,but that was your best dance ever. Julieanne: I agree. You certainly got into character. Maks: well this was a lot of fun. I liked it. I thought it was a lot of fun. I’m looking at you and I see very toned legs. You could do more. You are playing it safe. Bruno: naughty, naughty Paul. The jive has to be on your toes.
Total Scores: 26/40
Alek Skarlatos and Emma Slater
Judges Comments: Julieanne: There is something really going on the dance floor. Maks: I think you are the dark horse in the competition. You are coming out to be a great dancer. You have great lines, you are very sturdy. I do think you can let your emotion be apart of the dance. Bruno: technical – in the rumba, your feet continuously skim the floor.
Total Scores: 29/40
Bindi Irwin and Val Chmerkovskiy
Dance: Cha Cha
Judges Comments: Maks: It was the dance of the night for me. I smiled the entire time. Bruno: you lift my spirit. The foot placement was immaculate. CarrieAnn: It’s really important you learn something from your new partner. Your trust with your partner, I saw a whole new level of confidence. Julieanne: You are a ray of sunshine, regardless of who you dance with.
Total Scores: 37/40
