General Hospital Recap for September 28 to October 2
This week on General Hospital…..Ava is reunited with Avery; Sam says yes to Patrick; and Maxie learns something about Dillon.
Ava saunters into the meeting of the Five Families to announce that she knows who shot Sonny—Carlos! Hm, how convenient, considering he is missing. Michael doesn’t believe it, but he is pressured into a truce with Ava by the other families. He warns Ava she won’t get custody of Avery, but Ava says there isn’t a difference between her and Sonny. Both can parent AND be a mob boss!
Back at General Hospital Carly and Sonny decide to get married to help Sonny get custody of Avery. They convince Patrick and Elizabeth to be their witnesses. As the justice of the peace has them recite their vows, Elizabeth imagines Jake standing before her while Patrick sees Sam. Carly slips a ring onto Sonny’s hand, but before Sonny can do the same, he goes into cardiac arrest, dropping the ring and seizing! Elizabeth pushes Carly out of the room as Patrick works on Sonny. Later Patrick has some bad news. Sonny suffered an aneurysm. Carly pleads with Sonny to come back to them.
At Noodle Buddha Sam reveals to Jake that she can’t let go of Jason because she believes he might still be alive. Jake urges her to grab her happy life with Patrick; Jason would hate to see her in so much pain, especially over him. Sam realizes Jake is right. As they try to leave, they bump into Robert, the grandson of the owners and the man who had acted as the officiant at Sam and Jason’s ceremony. His blind grandmother joins them and mistakes Jake for Jason. She insists that they renew their vows for her. Embarrassed Sam and Jake oblige. As awkward as it is, the moment actually brings Sam a strange sense of peace. She finds herself letting go of the pain of losing Jason and wishes Jake the same kind of happiness with Elizabeth that she had with Jason. She also realizes that if Jason was really alive, he would have found a way back to her by now.
Anna pays Julian and Alexis a visit to confront him over Duke’s death. Julian insists that Carlos did it alone, but Anna doesn’t believe him. She then heads to the PCPD where she learns that Paul has become the new DA. She is also surprised to hear from Dante and Michael that Ava thinks Carlos shot Sonny. Anna keeps mum about what exactly happened to Carlos, but Sloane can’t.
Drunk and upset, Sloane crashes Hayden and Nikolas’ date at the Floating Rib to bitch about losing Anna. Then he calls the new DA, Paul, to rat Anna out. Fortunately for Anna—and unfortunately for Sloane—this doesn’t fit with Paul’s plans, so Paul kills Sloane.
Back at the Floating Rib Hayden and Nikolas have a very cute date, which results in Nikolas admitting he didn’t trust Hayden before—and still doesn’t. Hayden asks him to dance, to which Nikolas asks her if she trusts him. He might sweep her off her feet! Hayden smirks, but we all see that Nikolas is in danger of falling in love with her.
Julian returns to the penthouse where Ava tells him about her truce with Michael and that she told the five families that Carlos shot Sonny, thereby clearing Julian. Julian knows that’s a lie, but Ava says it’s just as good as the truth since Carlos is MIA. Julian thanks her and reveals he will move out of the penthouse to allow Ava to conduct her mob business—and to take care of Avery!
