Fans of “Pretty Little Liars” are chomping at the bit as they await the Winter season premiere, which includes a five year time jump. Well, if you love PLL, Disney and country music, you are in luck as Lucy Hale has teamed up with Rascal Flatts for a special collaboration. Hale, as you may know, plays Aria Montgomery on the hit ABCFamily show. By the time “Pretty Little Liars” returns, the name of the station will have changed to incorporate more hard-hitting topics and to continue to appeal to a wider fan base. Hale has launched a country music career and even debuted one of her singles after an episode of PLL but now, she and Rascal Flatts are tackling one of the biggest Disney songs of this decade: “Let It Go” from “Frozen.” The song was originally sung by Idina Menzel and covered by Demi Lovato for the soundtrack and now, it is taking a country twist. You may remember that Rascal Flatts covered Tom Cochrane’s “Life Is A Highway” for “Cars” and made it even better than the original. Check it out:

The song is just one of fifteen covers in a new Disney CD, to be released October 30th. Other covers on the album include “Rainbow Connection (The Muppets Movie)” by Gwen Stefani; “Zero to Hero (Hercules)” by Ariana Grande; “Friend Like Me (Aladdin)” by Ne-Yo and “Part of Your World (The Little Mermaid)” by Jessie J. As you can see, new Disney fans will be introduced to some classic songs via chart-topping artists and may gain a new appreciation. Other artists on the compilation are Kacey Musgraves, Tori Kelly, Fall Out Boy and Jason Derulo. As a super Disney fan, I am actually really excited to hear the remakes and see the twists that the artists have put on the classics. From what I can tell via “Let It Go,” we are looking at some big sales.

What do you think? Are you looking forward to the new album or do you think Disney should just leave the songs the way that they are? Let us know!
