In this round the contestants are again paired against one of their teammates, but this time around they get to choose their own song and – with the help of their coach and Rihanna – have to pull off a performance amazing enough to get to stay in the competition. As with the previous round, their team coach alone has the final vote in who stays and who heads home.

Last night Jordan Smith completely blew everyone away with his Adele’sSet Fire to the Rain” – will there be another break out performance tonight? You’ll have to come back to find out!

It’s a one hour broadcast tonight. Here are tonight’s songs:

Team Pharrell

Darius Scott – “On Broadway” by The Drifters & George Benson
Morgan Frazier – “Even if it Breaks Your Heart” by Eli Young Band
Results: Gwen said she loved how genuine Morgan was during her performance, while Adam said that he initially would have chosen Darius because he was “the most ridiculous vocal mechanic” but when he heard Morgan it blew him away. Blake seemed to be in the same boat as Adam, but in the end Pharrell’s opinion is the only one that matters (although we’ve been reminded that Blake still has a steal available…). In the end, Pharrell decided that although both singers were “phenomenal,” the winner would be Darius.

But that’s not the end of the road for Morgan – Blake, the only judge with a steal remaining, snapped up Morgan and now she’s back on Team Blake!

Team Adam

Dustin – “Free” by Zac Brown Band
Keith Semple – “I Want to Know What Love Is” by Foreigner
Results: Blake said that Dustin nailed his song, while Keith’s allowed him to go for some “big notes.” Pharrell said there is no denying Dustin’s natural talent, whereas he saw Keith “really fighting” as he sang to hit the notes. Gwen rounded it out by saying that Dustin’s voice was soothing and “incredible,” and said her favorite thing about Keith is his “style and personality.” Adam has the most important vote though, and he said that Dustin and Keith both took the notes they were given by their coaches (Adam and Rihanna) and showed growth during their performance. In the end only one can move forward, and Adam decided it would be Keith.

Team Gwen

Korin Bukowski – “All I Want” by Kodaline
Summer – “Little White Church” by Little Big Town
Results: Adam said both ladies did great, while Blake said that both ladies “sing really good” but Summer is a “real entertainer.” Pharrell said Korin’s body wasn’t required to do much because her voice did it all, and he said that Summer was “like a firecracker” on the stage. So now it’s up to Gwen – she said she was shocked by Summer’s performance and she felt that her “punk attitude was coming through,” while with Korin “there’s just something about [her]” that Gwen connects to and it’s “charming.” In the end, Gwen decided that Korin was the contestant destine to make it through to the next round.

And that’s that – be sure to check back in next week!
