Blake Shelton Insensitive For Bringing Gwen Stefani to CMA After Party
Blake Shelton has clearly moved on with Gwen Stefani, his fellow coach on NBC’s “The Voice.” Adam Levine, who also coaches on the show and has a bromance with Blake, has called the new couple “family.” They were first seen out at Levine’s Halloween party where Stefani, 46 dressed up as a cowgirl. Definitely the way to country singer Blake’s heart but the couple were spotted out together at possibly the worst event for his reputation: the CMA after party. The CMA’s aired earlier this week, with Blake’s ex-wife Miranda Lambert winning Female Entertainer of the Year. At the same time that the show was live on ABC, Gwen’s rep confirmed that the songstress and fashion icon, who filed for divorce from husband of thirteen years Gavin Rossdale over the summer and Shelton were officially an item. They have been close friends for a while now and it just recently evolved into more than that.
Though Miranda, 31 says that she is okay with the relationship, it might be because it was literally thrown in her face. Blake and Gwen aka Gwake, made their official couple debut at a CMA’s after party. E! has the first photos of the couple as they walked hand-in-hand post-Country Music Awards, with Gwen sipping on a glass of wine while looking very casual. Miranda was in attendance as well, though we are not sure if she was at the same party as the new couple. A source told E! of Gwake that “She was not surprised to hear of the romance between Blake and Gwen. They were always pretty flirty. Miranda and Blake were on the rocks on and off and knew that this could always be a possibility.” As we saw earlier, Miranda seemed to be a Gwen fan as well, doing karaoke to the No Doubt hit “Spiderwebs” a month before her divorce from Blake.
So, was it appropriate for Gwen to be at the award show? It is hard enough that the two will be seen twice a week on “The Voice” for the rest of season nine but couldn’t he have spared Miranda on one of the biggest nights in country? Let us know what you think and how you would react in that situation.
