Blindspot Recap 11/2/15 Season 1 Episode 7 “Sent on Tour”
Last week a modern crime mystery was the theme of the episode, as a online/mobile app “Trakzer” showed information of government vehicles in which criminals and drug dealers would use for their illegal plans.
Smarts phone and apps are used by pretty much everyone today, so it is interesting how they incorporated relevant technology in this case. We’ve seen so far the importance of Doe’s tattoos and there is still a large amount of mysteries to be solved.
Even at episode 7 of the first season, there is no clear path of how the FBI team plans to discover who, why, and how Jane Doe is in her current situation. Weller still holds on to the belief Shaw is Doe, especially after the DNA test, but the evidence from her tooth contradicts it. The only person they could have suspected to do this to Jane is dead, the man in the beard.
The person she sees in her first flashbacks and then on the hospital security footage, and eventually face to face when he breaks into Doe’s safehouse. However before he can tell her anything he is shot dead.
So far each episode has been a thrilling race, as we try to figure out what the FBI team will have to stop as they decipher each tattoo. Also, as we get deeper into the season, we are seeing the reality of some of the main characters. Even FBI detectives seem to have their own secrets and struggles, as seen by Zepata and Mayfair.
In tonight’s episode, one of Jane’s tattoos sends the team to a remote location where they find themselves face to face with a dangerous criminal in a case that puts Jane and Weller’s strained relationship to the test and threatens to expose Mayfair’s secrets. Meanwhile, Patterson breaks the rules to solve a tattoo puzzle.
In a flash back the same man with the tattoo on the forearm, digs a crate underground. The person helping him asks if this will work, and he says the right people will find it. In the present Patterson is getting ready for work, while her boyfriend observes Doe’s tattoos, which are all over the wall. Before she leaves he asks about permanently moving in, which Patterson avoids to answer.
At the office, Weller confronts Mayfair about Saul Guerrero as he finds the case. Mayfair says Guerrero was a confidential informant, and had intel for the FBI. However, he turned against FBI, killed many people, and has been missing for two years. He is currently on the the FBI #2 most wanted list.
