Dancing With the Stars Recap 11/9/15 – Season 21 Week 9 – Who Was Eliminated?
Dancing With the Stars has three weeks left and only six couples remain – all vying for the Mirror Ball Trophy.
It can be anyone’s Mirror Ball Trophy to win. The final six contestants; Alek Skarlatos, Alexa PenaVega, Bindi Irwin, Carlos Penavega, Nick Carter and Tamar Braxton have been dancing their hearts out hoping to make it another week. This week the dancers will be dancing an individual dance, in addition to a dance with another couple. The paired dances have been inspired by special live productions, taking the couples different places including Chicago, Las Vegas and a cruise ship.
The individual dances are below:
Alek Skarlatos & Lindsay Arnold
Song: “Back It Up” by Prince Royce f. Jennifer Lopez + Pitbull
Judges Comments: Julieanne: the wax paid off. You look great. Everything was fun to watch. The bad news is you messed up a little bit. When you are using your hips you have to use the floor. Bruno: Alek you’ve been pimped and it worked. It is good to see you getting into the role. Playing the character. You have to work on the fluidity of the hips. CarrieAnn: you have really come into yourself. The dance just didn’t come together.
Total Score: 24/30
Alexa PenaVega & Mark Ballas
Song: “Make it Rain” by Ed Sheeran
Judges Comments: All three judges gave them a standing ovation. Bruno: You really danced like a woman possessed. Images out of AHS. The choreography was brilliant. You’ve danced like I’ve never seen you dance before. CarrieAnn: that was more than dance, that was healing. You ripped it wide open and you pushed that message out there to anyone struggling. Julieanne: Where vulnerability comes in, strength is born. You just made this so much bigger than you.
Total Score: 30/30
Carlos PenaVega & Witney Carson
Dance: Argentine Tango
Song: “What Do You Mean” by Justin Bieber
Judges Comments: CarrieAnn: It was good and clean and nice but it didn’t touch me. I feel that it lacked impact. It didn’t come together and smack me in the face and that’s what I need at this point. Julieanne: you are an amazing dancer. Arentine Tango is about passion. It’s sexy and smooth – I think that’s what it lacked. Bruno: I tend to disagree. It had an element of a dysfunctional relationship. One thing you need to be careful with is your feet. They need to be sharper.
Total Score: 30/30
