Holland Taylor Reveals That She Is Gay At 72- Dating and Talking Marriage With Sarah Paulson
Holland Taylor is Hollywood royalty and now, at seventy-two, the actress has confirmed that she is a lesbian. Like many stars before her who have come out as gay, Taylor is saying that she is not really coming out because she was never in; I did not know that she was gay and I am a huge Taylor fan. The former “Two and A Half Men” star would not reveal who she was in a relationship with, per People Magazine but she said that it was a much younger actress. Now sources are confirming that Taylor is in a relationship with “American Horror Story” star Sarah Paulson, who is only forty. Holland talked about her happiness in a recent interview, saying this: “It’s the most wonderful, extraordinary thing that could have ever possibly happened in my life.” To add to that, Taylor has admitted that she and her partner are so in love that they are even discussing marriage, which is now legal in all fifty states, something super amazing. What is also amazing is that this news comes on the heels of her “Two and A Half Men” co-star Charlie Sheen, 50, confessing that he is HIV positive. It was revealed after an in-depth investigation performed by The National Enquirer and then Sheen chose to address the issue on “The Today Show” with Matt Lauer.
As for Taylor, this is a huge triumph for the actress as she told Parade in 2013 that she was in a very dark place after the passing of her mother. “I wasn’t actually a danger to myself but I really sometimes wondered how I could get out of the house to go get food. I was on antidepressants for over 15 years, with very intermittent counseling. It was a very dead period of my life.” Now, she has come back to life, seemingly with Paulson and she does not feel that her sexuality or marriage to her partner is something that dramatic to discuss: “Given my generation it would not be something that would automatically occur to me. But as a symbol, as a pledge, as a plighting one’s troth, it would be a wonderful thing to do. I haven’t come out because I am out. I live out.” We commend her and are so happy that she has found love and happiness, no matter what her age.
