Odd Couple Alert! Richard Marx and Daisy Fuentes Wed!
Well this is a coupling no one was expecting or maybe it was just us! Musician Richard Marx has wed former MTV VJ and entrepreneur/model Daisy Fuentes on December 23rd in Aspen, Colorado and no one saw this coming as they have kept their relationship under wraps. It was on Christmas that Marx revealed the big news via Instagram, saying: “On December 23rd, 2015 the magnificent @daisyfuentes gave me the honor of becoming my wife. #Aspen.” He also uploaded some super cute wedding photos for fans to gush over. The singer is best known for his hit “Right Here Waiting” which is one of the most beautiful songs of the eighties. This should actually make sense when you come down to it as Fuentes worked as a VJ on MTV and that was where Marx spent much of his career before he started writing songs for other artists like NSYNC. This is the second marriage for both of them as Marx was previously married to Cynthia Rhoades, best known for her role as Penny in “Dirty Dancing.” The couple was married for twenty-five years but announced that they were dunzo early last year. Fuentes was married in the early nineties for a very short time to actor Timothy Adams; that union lasted just four years.
For die-hard Richard Marx fans, you may have seen his video called “Beautiful Goodbye,” which is a song that he co-wrote with his new bride and premiered in September. She is following in his ex-wife’s music video footsteps as Rhoades was featured in Marx’s smash-hit video for the single “Don’t Mean Nothing.” Fuentes is just as excited about her new husband as she too took to social media to express her bliss, saying: “This happened & I couldn’t be happier. Nos casamos y mas feliz no puedo estar #myhusband @therichardmarx #miesposo #aspen.” She posted photos from the wedding as well and they really do look very happy together. So, what do you think of this coupling? Shotgun wedding or will this last? I am skeptical but also very happy for the two of them and wish them a life of happiness and love.
