Teresa Giudice Is A Free Woman- How Did She Spend the Holidays?
Teresa Giudice got an amazing Christmas present when she was released from prison early on December 23rd. She was a few months short of her fifteen month sentence for fraud but was taken home in the wee hours of last Wednesday morning, something she and her family were very grateful for. According to a source, Teresa had been super organized in terms of holiday planning even behind bars as she gave instructions to eldest daughter Gia and husband Joe. Joe will start serving a much longer sentence sometime in March and could face possible deportation. For now, the focus was on the holidays and how they spent them. On Christmas Eve, one day after Teresa’s release, she and her family joined Giudice’s brother, Joe Gorga and his wife Melissa, also a “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” cast member for a fun and exciting reunion. But the best reunion was that of Teresa, 43 and daughters Gia, 14, Gabriella, 11, Milania, 1o and Audriana who is six.
Giudice’s lawyer, James J. Leonard Jr., who drove the reality star home upon her release, had this to say about the family reunion: “It was very emotional. It was a private moment but it was very emotional, very powerful and something to see. Gia was up early this morning and then the younger ones started to get up. I think they got a little bit of sleep. I got no sleep. Teresa says that she didn’t sleep at all. Joe slept a little bit. I think everyone is going to sleep well tonight, myself included.” Teresa also had Leonard speak on her behalf to the fans, saying: “Merry Christmas. Happy New Year…all of you should go be with your families and your loved ones.” Again, Teresa was sent to prison for fraud; Joe will go for forty-one months though no one is sure if he will serve the whole term as his wife did not.
Because she was released early, Teresa has a new accessory that she must wear; an electronic monitoring bracelet to be worn until February 5th, which was to be her original release date. We wish her all the best and hope that, for her children’s sake, they had a great holiday. No word on when RHONJ will return but it is said that Teresa will be a featured player.
