Former U.S. President Bill Clinton and formerly imprisoned journalists Euna Lee and Laura Ling have left North Korea and are bound for Los Angeles. A representative for Bill Clinton said that the trio are en route to the United States. Ling and Lee were pardoned and released earlier today, after Clinton negotiated for their release.

Laura Ling is the sister of Lisa Ling, a fellow journalist who reports for “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and previously co-hosted “The View.”

Ling and Lee were on a news assignment for former Vice President Al Gore’s media company Current TV when they were arrested. The journalists were reporting on women and children refugees within North Korea.
