A Walker wedding is supposed to happen in this episode. But not before a hurricane, car accident and one of our favorite characters passes out unconscious. Will there be a wedding? Who is unconscious? Keep reading to see what happened on this week’s episode appropriately titled, ‘Nearlyweds.

A Hawaiian hurricane throws a monkey wrench into all wedding plans.   Justin admits to Saul that he’s actually a little relieved they have to postpone the wedding. But Rebecca doesn’t want to change the date, just the location.   She still wants a beach wedding, but now it’ll in Malibu. The family shifts into emergency party planning mode. Everyone is psyched to make this work. Everyone except the groom-to-be.

At an AA meeting, Justin admits that he’s not ready to be a father.  He’s not even sure he’s ready to get married.  While AA is supposed to be anonymous – this is hard to do when your future father-in-law is sitting in the back of the room.   David tells Justin he had better figure things out FAST.

Now that the wedding is closer to home, Nora asks Simon if he’d like to go.   He would love it, buthe’s headed to Portland to get investors to fund local businesses in poor foreign areas.   He says his part is purely philanthropic but his investors often profit from the interest.   He (half) jokingly says if he had $100,000 he wouldn’t have to go to Portland.  Nora offers to invest and Nora cuts him the rather sizable check.  Looks like Simon will be in town for the wedding after all.

Tommy comes back to town for the wedding with his daughter, Elizabeth.   Kevin discovers that he took his daughter out of state without telling Julia.   That’s a violation of their custody agreement. Kevin believes Elizabeth will blab about the great time she had at grandma’s house, so he calls Julia in a preemptive strike.   He manages to talk Julia out of doing anything litigious, but now Tommy is very angry with Kevin.   Seems like old times. “You will always be a better lawyer than you are a brother, Kevin. That will never change.”

Robert worries about Kitty’s upcoming MRI while Kitty worries about her hubby’s MIA status on the campaign trail.   After the test, Kitty gets a call in which she learns the tumors didn’t respond to the chemotherapy.  In fact, there’s been some noticeable growth.   Kitty lies and says they won’t know the results until Monday and convinces her husband to go to D.C. to get some political support for himself.

As the wedding draws ever near, Justin becomes ever more unraveled.  He finally spills his true feelings to Rebecca.   He’s flunking out of med school and feels she put him in an impossible situation with the wedding and the baby.

Kevin’s preemptive strike with Julia didn’t quite stick, as she shows up at Nora’s to take her daughter home. Things go from bad to worse. When Justin is late for the rehearsal dinner, Rebecca thinks she knows why. She breaks the news to the family that Justin doesn’t want to get married and calls off the wedding.  Meanwhile, Scotty tells Julia that maybe it’s time to forgive Tommy.

Justin is feeling overwhelmed and pulls over to the side of the road to think.  While he is there he witnesses an accident.   A little boy is hit by a car while riding his bike and Justin springs into action to help.   When Justin finally sees Rebecca, she notices the blood on his shirt and he explains about the accident.  Justin realizes that he has no trouble taking care of other people.  The only person he can’t take care of is himself.

Justin can’t promise that he won’t ever doubt himself in the future, but he does know that he will never doubt what they have with each other. He knows he can be a good father. He also knows he can be a good husband, if Rebecca will still marry him.  The wedding is back on!

Hours before the ceremony, Nora gets a call from Simon who says he will have to go away on business after all.   Sounds suspicious that Simon is skipping town after getting a big check from Nora.   By the look on Nora’s face  she’s having more than a few doubts.

At the beach, Kevin and Scotty bring Tommy’s daughter. Rebecca is a beautiful bride and Justin looks remarkably relaxed as the handsome groom.  Kitty begins the ceremony by reading a poem.   She is having a hard time reading the poem and collapses onto the sand.   Kitty is unconscious and she’s not breathing.

I have a hard time seeing the Walker family without Kitty – do you think she’ll make it??  I hope so.
