March 20th, 2010 Shari Posted in Freida Pinto, Movie Celebrities No Comments »

Freida Pinto is set to become the next Bond girl.

Pinto best know for her role in ‘The Slumdog Millionaire’,  reportedly has signed a multi-million dollar deal to play the suave spy’s love interest in the 23rd James Bond movie – which is set in Afghanistan – after being approached by director Sam Mendes (who recently split from wife, Kate Winslet).

A source said: “Sam has been talking about Bond for months now and is so excited about it. The project has been in the pipeline for months and Freida was always the dream Bond girl, but initially she was nervous about accepting it. This is going to be the most ambitious 007 yet. Sam plans to reinvent the genre”.

Freida is currently dating her ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ co-star Dev Patel.

Freida will star alongside Daniel Craig, who will be reprising his role as Bond once more, while actress Olivia Wilde has been approached to play a double-crossing UN worker based in Afghanistan.

The stage and screen star has recently become Lipton Ice Tea global brand ambassador.  BroadwayWorld brings you a look at the new commercial, which was filmed in January in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  Michael Gracey directed the commercial and was also the director of viral Evian Roller Babies ad video.

The 41-year-old Aussie comments on the experience,

“I was so happy because, for me, when you’re celebrating the greatest moments you have in life, you dance,” Hugh shared. “Even the butchest guy playing football will dance when they score a touchdown or a try.

“When you feel good about life, you dance, and in this commercial, I play someone who’s a little tired and run down, in a place where he doesn’t have anyone around him that he knows. He has a sip of the Lipton Ice Tea and inside he starts to feel alive and positive.”

How do you like Hugh’s dance moves?

The Runaways with Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning Music Video

March 19th, 2010 Cathy Posted in Dakota Fanning, Kristin Stewart, Movie Celebrities 1 Comment »

Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning star in this music-fueled story of the ground-breaking, all girl, teenage rock band of the 1970s: The Runaways, which opens in theatres today, March 19.

The film follows two friends, Joan Jett and Cherie Currie, as they rise from rebellious Southern California kids to rock stars of the now legendary group that paved the way for future generations of girl bands. Joan and Cherie fall under the Svengali-like influence of rock impresario Kim Fowley, played by Michael Shannon, who turns the group into an outrageous success and a family of misfits. With its tough-chick image and raw talent, the band quickly earns a name for itself—and so do its two leads: Joan is the band’s pure rock’ n’ roll heart, while Cherie, with her Bowie-Bardot looks, is the sex kitten.

Written and directed by Floria Sigismondi, the film chronicles Joan and Cherie’s tumultuous relationship on and off stage, as the band starts to break out.

The new Runaways music video of Cherry Bomb is below and keep reading for more photos.

Jesse James Apologizes to Sandra Bullock – Publicly

March 18th, 2010 Shari Posted in Movie Celebrities, Sandra Bullock 2 Comments »

Jesse James has broken his silence and has issued an apology to his wife Sandra Bullock and his three children, taking full responsibility for their heartbreak.

In a statement provided to PEOPLE, he says:

“The vast majority of the allegations reported are untrue and unfounded. Beyond that, I will not dignify these private matters with any further public comment.  There is only one person to blame for this whole situation, and that is me.   It’s because of my poor judgment that I deserve everything bad that is coming my way.  This has caused my wife and kids pain and embarrassment beyond comprehension and I am extremely saddened to have brought this on them. I am truly very sorry for the grief I have caused them. I hope one day they can find it in their hearts to forgive me.”

Infidelity is now being referred to as bad judgment??  Buying your wife silver instead of gold is bad judgement.  Telling your wife you don’t like her outfit is also bad judgement.   I can do this all day – feel free to chime in and leave a comment.
