Natalie Portman attended the screening of her soon to be released movie, ‘Brothers’, over the weekend in New York City.

Portman plays the wife of Sam Cahill, played by Tobey Maguire, who goes missing on his fourth tour of duty, forcing his younger brother (Jake Gyllenhaal) to take care of his wife and children.

Brothers is set to be released on December 4 in the US.  Any plans to see the movie??

Natalie Portman guest starred on Bravo’s, Top Chef last night, October 28, 2009.

Portman has been in the news lately discussing meat and the fact that she does not like it and is a devout vegetarian. Ironically the Top Chef contenders were at Craftsteak, a Las Vegas restaurant.

The vegetarian twist was dropped right before the Elimination Challenge started.

While the audience was not surprised by the twist -the chefs were. The lucky few who got to the veggie section first called out their primary ingredient and started formulating new ideas. Those who lagged — or lost an orange flip (no coins were available) — were left with Chinese eggplant and raw garbanzo beans.

It wasn’t necessarily the ingredients that were the problem with the bottom-three dishes.   The lack of imagination, flavor, and texture ultimately doomed them. Vegetarians aren’t looking for bland dishes that feature whole, roasted vegetables.   They’re looking for new creations, something they haven’t seen before.

This week’s elimination of Jersey native Michael Isabella, previously touted to reach at least the final four, was eliminated last night partly because his dish lacked an important ingredient and partly because he was arrogant.

Natalie Portman hit up the screening of her new movie Love And Other Possible Pursuits during the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival  on Wednesday (September 16) in Canada.

Portman looked beautiful in a  floral Lanvin dress and Aldo “Sliney” pumps.

Love and Other Impossible Pursuits is a comedy/drama that details the story of a woman’s difficult relationship with her stepson.  Lisa Kudrow is also in the movie.

Natalie Portman  is speaking out about the rumors that she is romantically involved with fellow actor, 48-year-old Sean Penn.

Portman stated,

 ”Sean Penn is a friend and colleague. The reports that we are romantically involved are completely untrue. I normally do not respond to rumors about my private life, however, this repeatedly fabricated story has forced me to do so.”

In April, Penn separated from his wife Robin Wright after a brief reconciliation.   They married in 1996 and have two children.

I just recently started receiving Glamour Magazine.  I bought a subscription when they rolled back their price 70 years and i paid $1.50 (i think) for an entire year.  What a great investment.

Renee Zellweger graces the cover for June’s issue.  More exciting than that is the 50 Most Glamourous Women of 2009.  Neil Hamil, Director of Elite Model, said it all,

Last week – Natalie Portman was seen kissing Sean Penn.  This week she is being wooed by Ryan Gosling.

Rumors.  We don’t know if they are true – but we report them anyway.

According to the Chicago Sun Times, Ryan Gosling has been texting Natalie.  Along with continual ”and very poetic” text messages, Ryan has been reportedly  sending Natalie first editions of books he thinks she’d like.

Natalie has been known to like the intellectual type – Ryan may just be a match.

Brad Pitt and Natalie Portman have signed on to star in Paramount’s movie adaptation of Leanne Shapton’s book ‘Important Artifacts and Personal Property from the Collection of Lenore Doolan and Harold Morris, Including Books, Street Fashion, and Jewelry’, Variety reports.   Let’s hope they change the title of the movie – this title will be way too hard to remember.
