Have U Heard??

Iconic rocker Bret Michaels, lead vocalist of Poison, reality TV star, actor, and solo musician, has just released the single “Nothing To Lose.” On the track Michaels taps into his melodic prowess and knack for composing epic ballads and delivers a song that will easily find a home amongst rock, pop and country music fans. Knowing that “Nothing To Lose” had potential to cross genres Michaels recorded it a number of ways; solo, acoustic, and as a duet with Disney star Miley Cyrus.
The concept of pairing the two household names may seem out of left field but the two come together beautifully on the track.

“Bret and I had a great time in the studio together just hanging out and making music,” Miley was quoted saying. “He’s so passionate about music and it shows. I think it’s such a rad collaboration because it shows that two artists that seem so different on the outside can come together and organically create something that we are both proud of.”

With the Internet buzz around the track, Michaels sat down with US Magazine to set the record straight, for anyone who was questioning the lyrical content of the song and Miley’s participation on it,

“I never sat down and said, ‘Look at the content. Look at the lyrical content… There is nothing I have to be defensive about,” he said, “I just thought it was a beautiful song.”

All five versions of the country-rock ballad “Nothing To Lose” are now available on CD at the singer’s website and the single featuring Miley Cyrus hit iTunes Tuesday March 2nd. Miley Cyrus and her beau Liam Hemsworth enjoyed the beautiful weather Friday afternoon (Mar.5) by taking a  bike ride around Miley’s neighborhood of Toluca Lake, Ca. 

The Hollywood couple are starring as Ronnie and Will in the upcoming movie The Last Song.  The film, which opens on March 31st,  is a drama centered around a rebellious girl (Miley) who is sent to a Southern beach town for the summer to stay with her father. Through their mutual love of music, the estranged duo learn to reconnect.

The 17-year-old singer/actress will be a presenter at this Sunday’s Oscar Awards ceremony.  Her mom Tish Cyrus will be escorting Miley to the event, her Aussie boyfriend prefers to avoid red carpet events.  I don’t understand why someone would choose to be an actor and date someone as famous as Miley if he doesn’t enjoy the limelight.  It is like becoming a veterinarian when you do not like animals.  Any thoughts on Liam??

Nominees for the 2010 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards have been revealed. Miley Cyrus has come out as the leader of the nominations with nominations from three different categories; music, movie and television.

Cyrus was nominated for Favorite Song for her single “Party in the U.S.A”, Favorite Female Singer, Favorite Movie Actress and Favorite TV Actress. In both of her music nominations, she will be facing tough competition from Grammy-winning singers Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Taylor Swift.

Other Kids Choice nominees include Taylor Lautner. Lautner was nominated for Favorite Movie Actor and “The Twilight Saga’s New Moon” was nominated for Favorite Movie. Noticeably absent are his two co-stars, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.  Neither of the teen icons have been nominated at this year’s Kids’ Choice.

2010 Kids’ Choice Awards will be aired live on Nickelodeon at 8 P.M. on March 27.

“We Are the World — 25 for Haiti” premiered on Friday night (February 12) during the opening ceremony of the Olympics in Vancouver.

The song features appearances by a number of artists including Janet Jackson, Justin Bieber, Jordin Sparks, Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Pink. 

Justin Bieber sang the opening for the song and there was an update that the original didn’t include -  a heavy rap presence, with Wayne, West, Will.I.Am, T-Pain, Bizzy Bone, Kid Cudi, LL Cool J, Snoop Dogg, Drake, Mann, Nipsey Hussle, Busta Rhymes and Swizz Beatz all lending their voices to the track.

An appearance by Michael Jackson in the remake was a pleasant surprise.

The video was shot in 3-D, and green-screen technology will allow viewers at home to place themselves in the chorus.  Lionel Richie spoke at a press conference earlier this month where he revealed that  you “can put yourself into the ‘We Are the World’ family from the computer.”  That sounds like a lot of fun!!

Girls night out with Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato.  And Liam Hemsworth.  There is nothing like going out with a friend for dinner and having them bring their boyfriend.  It’s never fun to play the 3rd wheel except of course if Liam Hemsworth is there.

Teaming up for a fun-filled dinner outing, Miley Cyrus, her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth and Demi Lovato were spotted out in Studio City on Tuesday night (February 2).

The threesome seemed to be having a great time, laughing as the paparazzi awaited to snap the trio.

Miss Cyrus had a great weekend presenting at the 2010 Grammy Awards and then spending the next day joining in on the “We Are the World” remake at Henson studios.

Miley Cyrus arrived at the 52nd annual Grammy Awards in a stunning Herve Leger dress and black gladiator heels. 

 The Party in the USA singer had the honor of introducing the Black Eyed Peas on the stage to  perform of their new single Imma Be followed by I Gotta Feeling.

Miley Cyrus and little sister Noah were seen heading to the recording studio in Burbank, CA with their labrador retriever puppy on January 30th.   The puppy is too cute!!

In more surprising news – Noah is teaming up with her bff, Emily Grace to launch a clothing line collection for Ooh! La, La! Couture.  The fact that Noah is 9 years old and already launching a clothing line is definitely a surprise.  The line seems a bit old for the young duo – leopard print and fish net stockings is not the attire an average nine year old would wear.  Unless I’m out of touch?? The line is set to launch on February 14, 2010.

Miley Cyrus and her adorable new puppy headed to the Maxfield Department store in LA,  for some shopping on Sunday (Jan. 24).

The 17-year-old singer then met her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth for some coffee before heading to a recording studio in Santa Monica.

The puppy is so cute.  Does anyone know it’s name??
