Have U Heard??

Sticking with her typical weekly routine, Ellen Pompeo was spotted loading up on groceries in West Hollywood on Sunday (November 29).   Pompeo who was dressed casually in a brown sweatshirt, jeans and a scarf, stocked up at the local Whole Foods before getting a helping hand as she toted her purchases out to the car.

Ellen Pompeo made her first public appearance since giving birth to daughter, Stella Luna Pompeo Ivery.

Pompeo, with husband Christopher Ivery by her side stepped out Wednesday to attend the collection launch of Adidas Originals by David Beckham and James Bond in Los Angeles.

Pompeo looked fantastic wearing a black sweater-dress.  Pompeo said,

 ”everything is fantastic” on the home front, and that the best thing about being a new mom is “everything. I’m the luckiest girl in the world!”

Pompeo is currently on maternity leave from Grey’s Anatomy (she can still be seen on the show) enjoying her new daughter.

Ellen Pompeo with her baby bump and husband Chris Ivery return home on Friday after spending the day at her co-star Katherine Heigl’s home in LA. The two Grey’s Anatomy actresses are both about to become first time mothers.

Katherine Heigl is said to be adopting a baby girl from Korea and Ellen is due to give birth in October and it is believed to also be a girl.

A very pregnant Ellen Pompeo and husband Chris Ivery checked on the progress of the construction of their new home on Friday (August 28) in Hollywood Hills, Calif.

Pompeo’s pregnancy is not going to be worked into her character, Meredith’s story line.   Rumor is she plans on taking some time off after the baby and her absence will be worked in to the story line.

Grey’s Anatomy is scheduled to premiere on Thursday, September 24 @ 9PM ET/PT.  More photos after the jump!!

Ellen Pompeo keeps up with her fitness routine and hits the gym in Beverly Hills on Saturday for Pilates, which she does 3 times a week.

The Grey’s Anatomy star, 39, is on a break from filming and hopefully enjoying preparing for her first child.

Pompeo’s pregnancy will not be written into Grey’s Anatomy. 

Creator of Grey’s Anatomy, Shondra Rhimes says.

 ”Ellen is incredibly optimistic and somehow thinks she will be back and ready to rock ‘n’ roll. [But] I have a child, so I know that that’s not true. [So] we have a lovely story [on deck] that will take us into her maternity leave.”

“And we have plans for some really interesting stand-alone episodes for [while she's gone].

Is Pompeo being overly optimistic in thinking she is going to have the baby and head right back to work??

A very pregnant Ellen Pompeo was seen heading into her manager’s office in West Hollywood, California.

Pompeo announced her pregnancy in April.  She looks great – wearing a flowing grey dress that really shows off her baby bump.
