Lauren Conrad, our favorite ex-Hills star, spoke to Seventeen Magazine where she confessed the painful truth,

“I knew back back then [that] I was being cheated on”

Conrad has several ex-boyfriends (Jason Wahler, Stephen Colletti or Brody Jenner?) but didn’t specify who it was.  She explained that she turned the other cheek.

With age comes maturity and confidence.  Of course – your own fashion line, a couple of books and a movie in the works can’t hurt your confidence level.

“The more confident me has come to the point where I’ve finally realized it’s not something that everyone does. It’s not okay to have your guy hook up with someone else. You deserve more.”

Conrad began dating actor Kyle Howard in 2008.  She was still filming The Hills but had figured out how to keep the romance off of MTV’s cameras.

Conrad is set to release her second novel, Sweet Little Lies, this month; it’s the follow-up to L.A. Candy.  A book full of Hills-like characters, which was a #1 New York Times bestseller.

Lauren Conrad rang in the New Year in LA with her old costars from The Hills, Stephanie Pratt and Lo Bosworth, but she was soon off to Mexico with her boyfriend, Kyle Howard.

Conrad and Howard were spotted out for a stroll and relaxing by the pool.   

Lauren recently went on her twitter account to show us the special gift her mother gave her for the holidays.  A book titled, ‘How to Be A Lady – A Contemporary Guide to Common Courtesy’.  Lauren asked if her mother was trying to tell her something?  Mothers are good at trying to pass those ’subtle’ hints.

 The 6th Annual Hollywood Style Awards were held over the weekend at the Armand Hammer Museum.

Among the celebrities in attendance were Kim Kardashian, Sophia Bush, Lauren Conrad, Pamela Anderson, Selena Gomez, Katie Cassidy, Cheryl Burke and Hayden Panettiere were among the crowd.

Lauren Conrad’s best selling novel, L.A. Candy is going to be made into a movie.

The novel, which came out in June, is about a 19-year-old girl who moves to Hollywood and ends up as the lead in a reality series.   In other words, it’s basically inspired by the real-life adventures of Conrad, who began starring in Laguna Beach around the age of 19, then got her own show two years later.   The Hills is a reality show about a group of attractive Los Angeles young adults who live a life filled with drama.??

Former star of The Hills, Lauren Conrad met up with BFF,Lauren Bosworth at La Scala in LA for lunch.

Being best friends I am sure they spend a lot of time together – shopping too. Both are wearing jeans and the SAME shoes.

Have you ever done that – went shopping with a friend, bought the same shirt, pants, shoes, etc. only to meet up wearing the same thing?? We usually call ahead to warn each other. I guess the two Lauren’s didn’t have a chance.

Lauren Conrad looked dazzling as she worked the red carpet at the VH1 Divas show at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.

 With Paula Abdul acting as the night’s host, the show featureed a star-studded lineup of performers including Kelly Clarkson, Miley Cyrus, Adele, Leona Lewis and Jordin Sparks.

The benefit concert sees funds directed towards VH1’s Save the Music Foundation, which is “a nonprofit that seeks to restore music education in American public schools.”

Lauren Conrad appeared on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire 10th Anniversary Special this week and won $50,000 for her charity, Domestic Violence Charity M.Powerment by Mark.  The popular game show has returned to prime-time TV, with the orginal host Regis Philbin for a special two-week run. Lauren played in the celebrity segment which gave her a chance to win either $25,000 or $50,000, her final answer was correct and she was a big winner.

Lauren Conrad hosted a party at The Pool After Dark at Harrah’s, Atlantic City, NJ on Saturday (July 25).Former Hills star, Conrad, helped deploy new social networking technology, Surface, at the Xhibition Bar. Lauren cut the ‘virtual’ table top ribbon with a champagne toast, moments before hosting the party.

 I am curious to learn more about the new social networking technology – although Facebook and Twitter definitely keep me busy enough.  What about you??
