Have U Heard??

Teri Hatcher, one of our favorite Desperate Housewives, and daughter, Emerson Rose, held hands as they made their way through the crowds.  What a great display of mother-daughter bonding.

Teri, who was recently rumoured to be suffering from swine flu before her agent confirmed it was laryngitis, looked great in a trendy pair of ripped jeans, a white vest, and an oversized black tux, which she accessorised with a snakeskin bag and several long necklaces.

Emerson Rose opted for a more casual and youthful outfit, with knitted boots, denim shorts, a purple hoody and cute beaded headband.

 Teri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman were one of several famous faces competing in this weekend’s Malibu Triathlon.

In an article in ModernMom, Terry Hatcher, who is mom to 11-year-old daughter Emerson Rose,  wrote a great article explaining  her decision to enter and train for the grueling event.  

Hatcher compared the triathlon to motherhood.  While the triathlon is a three event competition,  Hatcher realized that Motherhood demands the execution of different challenges (many more than 3) every day.

“Mothers are almost always ready to “Just do it”.   How many times have you had to get up and make breakfasts, feed the dogs, drive the kids to school and then get to work even though you had little to no sleep”  

“ They keep pushing themselves until it all gets done. Triathlons are like that. Push yourself to the end. Only triathlons DO end and motherhood never ends. And guess what? I’m grateful for that.”
